Artist Statement
The focus within my work is on storytelling and character. I believe that the stories we tell affect the lives of our audience and that characters are the easiest way to make a message clear. I want my work to reach the public and help to shape the lives of my viewers the way that my life has been shaped by the stories that I have seen.
Artist Bio
Gabrielle Kash was born in 1995 in the small town of Stroudsburg PA. While growing up, her father owned a DVD rental business where she spent her time watching way too many movies and television. During this time Gabrielle also began drawing. She drew lots of things, but mostly cats (not that this has changed much), and made up stories. She attended the local school district until her sophomore year when she was accepted to the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts. Here she has learned the basics of drawing, and much, much more. She began to animate during her first year at Charter Arts and has decided that this is what she wants to do with her life. Gabrielle has aspirations of going to art school for computer animation and one day become a character designer.
